About Kristin

I am an integrative family physician with an audacious agenda:

I want to heal the whole world: people, planet, all of it.

A tall order, and probably an impossible quest. But honestly? That’s what gets me out of bed in the morning. When I look around, I see a world in need of some next level stewardship. And when I look at what I personally have to offer–an education from Yale and Stanford, an integrative board certification, a personal experience with a complex, mysterious illness (as well as a complete recovery from that illness), and a belief in the innate goodness and healing capacities of my fellow humans–my purpose is clear. Through my courses, podcast, ebooks, countless free webinars, and a growing online community, I support those struggling with complex, mysterious, medically baffling illnesses so that we can figure out what’s underneath their symptoms, heal that, and then together, get on with the business of healing our world.

What is a “tree of many limbs,” anyway?

I believe that we are like trees of many limbs. We all certainly have a Physical Limb, and most of us think of health in terms of whether the physical body is healthy and strong. But we have other important limbs, as well: Emotional, Conceptual, Social, and Spiritual. True wellness emerges naturally when all of our limbs are strong, balanced, nourished, and supported.

I also believe that healing happens best when our trees grow together, in community. We are strongest when our roots go deep, where they can tap into ancient, ancestral wisdom and healing traditions, and intermingle like mycelial networks. We are healthiest when our branches can reach, unimpeded, towards the sun…and also towards one another. Healing happens best when we cultivate relationships–with ourselves, and with one another, and with nature–which is why I cultivate groups, online and in person, where we can learn, heal, and grow, together. In a Healing Grove.
